Policy Statement
Child Care Providers is bound by the UK’s Data Protection Act (DPA) which implements the EU Data Protection Directive. This protects personal data and places restrictions on Child Placements ability to disclose personal data within the UK and overseas. Personal data is information relating to an individual from which they can be identified, e.g. name, address.

Child Care Providers can often be entrusted with personal information given to them in confidence by an individual using Child Placements services. Child Placements has a duty to treat that information with respect. Child Placements also has a duty under the Data Protection Act 1998 to protect the confidentiality of personal information and to process that information fairly.

What happens next? (Terms of agreement)
Fostering Agency's placement vacancies will be added to the vacancy database in the region specified.
Local Authorities will have access to the details and will contact Agencies.
To update placement vacancies, Agencies email with the preferred changes.
To avoid spam the form details are checked by a social worker.
Fostering Agencies will have the opportunity to make a donation to support this free service.
